This event is reserved for children with special needs, and their families.

11:00 AM to 11:30 AM – The Dynami Greek Dancers showcase the best of Greek dance with authentic and engaging performances. Truly pan-hellenic, Dynami present an assortment of diverse dances, accompanied by music and costumes from all across Greece and its many islands – and you’ll even have a chance to learn a few steps yourself, during a mini Greek dance lesson!

11:30 – 12:45 PM – Lilly and the Magic Pearl is a fabulous animated adventure down under the deep blue sea! Real-life Lilly — standing in a phone booth on the beach — listens as an exciting fairy tale unfolds, taking her and a fish friend named Gillion on a quest for the elusive magic pearl. But the sea can be a dangerous place, even when you’re on a noble expedition — watch out for that octopus!

12:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Caricature artist Mikey J will draw your portrait! Who will you be? A sports star? A superhero? A princess? You decide!

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Join the adventurous calico kitty KeeKee as she travels to Paris, Rome, Athens, and Amsterdam in her hot air balloon! Author Shannon Jones will read from her books and sign copies – and you can color your very own KeeKee!

1:00 PM to 1:45 PM – Shannon Dunne School of Dance presents a fast-paced review highlighting several styles of Irish dancing, accompanied by traditional Irish music! As the dancers whirl to the lively sounds of Celtic jigs, you’ll have a hard time keeping your own feet still!

2:30 PM to 3:15 PM – Have you ever seen an iPad played like a musical instrument? André Borbé’s Belgian trio sets the standard for cutting-edge, family-friendly entertainment in a technological tour de force that seamlessly blends French songs, harmonies, and the latest digital devices. You’ve never been to a concert like this – prepare to be astonished!

Throughout the day there will also be crafts and face painting – and you’re invited to wear your Halloween costume!

KEEN Greater DC is a non-profit, volunteer-led organization providing one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities, thereby fostering the self-esteem, confidence, skills, and talents that allow young people facing even the most significant challenges to meet their individual goals.
