Motherless Mik is the housekeeper for his older brother, Tony, and their unemployed father, who was once a famous drummer in a heavy metal band. When Dad — who has a drinking problem — is sent to rehab and Tony is arrested, Mik goes to live with his eccentric Aunt Lena. Her neighbors are a quirky bunch, but Mik quickly learns to fit in. Just when it seems Mik has found the friends he’s always been looking for, Social Services sends him off to a nasty foster family who are worse than the Dursleys of Harry Potter!
