La Maison Française, the cultural center of the Embassy of France, presents theater, films, concerts, exhibitions and lectures throughout the year. With a mission to present the finest in French Culture to Washington audiences, La Maison Française brings artists with blossoming reputations throughout France and Europe to appear at the Embassy. In 2008 over 250 French artists appeared and over 60 movies were screened. Whether it is through a theater performance, art exhibit, lecture, the Baroque, Cabaret, Classical, Contemporary, Jazz or Opera series, you are sure to find moving and beautiful programming at La Maison Française.

From the South : Follow I-95 to I-395 North. Take exit toward Memorial Bridge. The road will divide, follow signs for Key Bridge. As you exit, stay to the right, follow signs for Key Bridge. You will want to be in the left lane as you cross over Key Bridge. Take a left at the light at the end of Key Bridge. This is Canal Road. Get in the right lane. When the road divides, bear to the right. At this point, the road changes names and becomes Foxhall Road. At the third light, make a right hand turn onto Reservoir Road. The Embassy is about two blocks down on the left hand side of the road, across the street from Georgetown University Hospital. From Alexandria : Take the George Washington Parkway North. Follow signs to the key Bridge. Cross over Key Bridge. Take a left at the light at the end of Key Bridge. This is canal Road. Get in the right lane. When the road divides, bear to the right. At this point, the road changes names and becomes Foxhall Road. At the third light, make a right hand turn onto Reservoir Road. The Embassy is about two blocks down on the left hand side of the road, across the street from Georgetown University Hospital. From the West : Follow I-66 East to the Key Bridge exit. Exit and stay in the left lane. At the third light take a left, stay in one of the middle lanes. As you cross Key Bridge you will want to get into the far left lane. Take a left at the light at the end of Key Bridge. This is Canal Road. Get in the right lane. When the road divides, bear to the right. At this point, the road changes names and becomes Foxhall Road. At the third light, make a right hand turn onto Reservoir Road. The Embassy is about two blocks down on the left hand side of the road, across the street from Georgetown University Hospital. From Route 270 : Follow 270 South towards Washington/Virginia. Take I-495 South to Virginia. Follow to Cabin John Parkway Exit 40 (Glen Echo). Continue on the Parkway past Chain Bridge and take a left at the light. This is Arizona Avenue. Take a right onto MacArthur Blvd. The road will eventually divide, bear left onto Reservoir Road. After you cross over Foxhall Road, the Embassy is about two blocks down on the left hand side of the road, across the street from Georgetown University Hospital. From Baltimore and North : Follow I-95 South to I-495 West exit towards Silver Spring. Continue towards Virginia on I-495 South. Follow to Cabin John Parkway Exit 40 (Glen Echo). Continue on the Parkway past Chain Bridge and take a left at the light. This is Arizona Avenue. Take a right onto MacArthur Blvd. The road will eventually divide, bear left onto Reservoir Road.
